Even if it's your first pilgrimage to Ste. Anne de Beaupré or one of many, you cannot help but be greatly touched when witnessing the faithful reverently venerating the major relic (arm bone) of Good Ste. Anne, earnestly praying before the miraculous statue of Ste. Anne and Mary, or gazing in awe at the floor to ceiling ex-votos (the incredible display of crutches and braces of those faithful that were healed).
One of the most moving and joyful experiences is joining together with hundreds of pilgrims, in this most magnificent and impressive Basilica, during the Candlelight Procession following Mass. Listening to the incredible organ music and glorious voice of the cantors, together with your participation in singing the Magnificat, while raising your candles in praise to God, is a simply amazing and uplifting experience!
Our pilgrims can prayerfully meditate on the passion of Jesus as they kneel on the replica of the Holy Stairs, which represent the steps Jesus ascended during His passion. Pilgrims can gather together on the hillside overlooking the spectacular St. Lawrence Seaway while praying in front of the life size stations of the Way of the Cross. Also, you may tour the St. Anne Museum to discover the history of our ancestors through the fascinating works of art describing the tradition and devotion of Good Saint Anne.
